Located
in the heart of the Penedès, one of the major wine producing areas
and cava in the world, Cal Biohotel Ruget is surrounded by a sea of endless
vineyards, ensuring a constantly changing landscape.
With an excellent location,
offering magnificent views of the mountains of Montserrat to the north
and the magnificent Castel Sant Martí Sarroca southwest, and the
littoral plain and Penedes.
The house, built in the early
SXX, has the structure of a typical rural building in the area, a farmhouse,
with many details typical of this type of architecture. |

property, which occupies an area of 10,000 m2,
has his own own vineyard, an organic garden and a large garden with pool
and lots of corners designed to relax and enjoy unparalleled peace of mind.
History, culture and architecture await you through modernist route, the
route of the Cistercian order, the shrine of Montserrat or contemporary
history.
This is a pioneering initiative,
the first countryhotel of its type in Spain. As a Biohotel, our “raison
d’etre” is maximum respect for the environment, sustainability and the
cultivation and use of biological products. To enjoy Cal Ruget Biohotel
is to satisfy the five senses, without haste and with time to observe the
smaller details of life.

| Ecogastronomy
Eco gastronomy is the meeting
point between ethics and pleasure, stressing individual flavours, artesan
food production, small scale agriculture, sustainable and organic methods
of farming and fishing. It also means taking our time in sharing the pleasures
of the table which is missing in rushed lifestyles, the appreciation of
and respect for the environment, the cultural identity of small towns and
the welfare of animals.
Bio-gastronomy is about dietary
democracy and the right of every community to decide what they wish to
cultivate, produce and eat.
We are to a large extent
self sufficient and the suppliers of our raw materials come from within
a radius of 100 km and are preferably bio-certified. We prepare different
menus based on traditional country kitchen enlivened with innovative
touches but always true to our philosophy. To enjoy our kitchen we recommend
you allow us at least two days notice of reservation. |

are limited in capacity to 25 people. We prepare the first course
with seasonal products from the garden and the local area, for the main
course you have a choice of fish, meat or vegetarian, and we conclude with
home made desserts. After lunch or dinner you are welcome to relax in any
of the communal areas of the house.

Rooms:
Cal Ruget Biohotel has 7
exclusive rooms with bathroom. The main house has four bedrooms (two with
sofa bed), all have views to the garden and orchard. The other 3 rooms
are in various annexes to the house with direct access to garden and terrace.
All rooms have an area exceeding
25 m2, and have a full bathroom with shower, large beds, Radio & CD-player,
TV and open-bar.
Each room is decorated in
country style itself and different from the others, with endless small
details.
At Cal Dragano, our second
farmhouse is only 150 m, we have 5 guest rooms with the same comfort and
charm. In addition completes its offer with a large living area. We have
a total of 12 rooms with capacity up to 30 guests. This allows us to accommodate
particular groups, families and businesses who want the buzz of Cal Ruget
Biohotel. |

in the Area:
The Penedes region is not
only the world of wine and cava. Our region offers visitors plenty of options
to spend nice days outdoors, visiting places full of history and culture
and bringing body and mind for the well-being.
From our farm you have a
great starting point to visit the region of Penedes. Mini-trips and excursions
on the roads between vineyards, discover nature around us, visiting the
beaches of Vilanova and Sitges, or the cities of Barcelona and Tarragona
are just some of many possibilities.
