Hospedería
- Guest House in an 18th century house in Pedraza de la Sierra, Castilla
y León, Spain
 |
This fine
early 18th century house in the Jewish quarter of Pedraza has been restored
respecting all the smallest details of the former house. The coat of arms
on the facade that relates the legend of the "Slaves of Jesus and Mary"
is such an example.
The house has been decorated
with great care by Francisco Muñoz, from the magazine "Casa &
Jardín" (Home & Garden), whose mark has been firmly imprinted
on practically all the stylish hotels in Pedraza. The earthenware floors
and thick wooden beams combined with walls and upholstery in warm tones
invite the wayfarer to rest.

| Its
peaceful garden surrounded by an age-old wall typical of this medieval
town, has wonderful views of the Guadarrama mountain range, the aqueduct
and the delightful storks nest. If you want to enjoy the magic of this
small town you just have to step out onto one of the balconies at the front
of the hotel that overlook the pebbled streets and the ruins of the Romanesque
Santo Domingo church.
The sitting room provides
an excellent place to read or discuss with Guillermo the wide range of
activities that are available in the area.
