the layer of stone and under the exposed beam roof, design roams freely
through the eclectic bedrooms, decorated with exquisitely simple good taste,
and the avant-garde bathrooms. The rooms, named after melodious Basque
villages bring us into frequent contact with the surrounds. Jaizkibel looks
out towards the mountain of the same name, the bay of the neighbouring
town can be seen from Zarautz, and the lighthouse is visible on the green
cliff tops from Getaria.

courses are located less than fifteen minutes away: the Real Club de Zarautz
(9 holes, 5km away) and the Real Club de San Sebastián (18 holes,
20km away). Water sports can be arranged with companies in the area. The
beaches on the Basque coast are 3 minutes away. A multitude of excursions
can be arranged through the hotel: culinary routes, museum visits: Zuloaga
Museum, Chillida Leku Museum, trips to the South of France.
The culinary capital par
excellence, San Sebastian, is only twenty minutes away and offers a wide
range of activities for visitors. Bilbao is fifty minutes away for visits
to the famous Guggenheim or Fine Arts Museum. The areas surrounding the
hotel are perfect for hiking, water sports, fishing, bicycle rides, etc
