Traditional
Casona (Hotel) on the River Sella in Arriondas, Asturias, Spain
 |
The
Casona sits on the banks of the River Sella with breathtaking views of
the Picos de Europa from its expansive terrace and comfortable sitting
rooms. The Casona was originally built by the Garcia Myllar brothers
as a family home at the beginning of the 20th century. In 2000, the
granddaughter converted this classic treasure into an exquisite hotel.
But
the Casona is more than just a hotel. The owner, Paloma, is as charming
and gracious as her rooms. She will guide your stay through all the
wonders of Asturias from the mountains to the sea, through small villages
and down the rivers and into their hearts. She will make reservations
for you and translations and introduce you to walks, beaches, restaurants
and outdoor sports. |
| Breakfast
on the terrace is comprised of delicious local cheeses, fresh juices and
pastries and more...
On
winter days, the fireplace of the salon is lit and guests can take a book
from the English library and read or relax in comfort and savour the pleasures
of the day and make plans for the next.
